The rhythm of body temperature depends strongly on the amount of natural light you absorb. When we are exposed to strong light, the body temperature rises. The body then secretes less melatonin, the hormone responsible for sleep. When we are in a dark place, the rate of secretion of melatonin increase sleep and will quickly catch us.
If you do not expose yourself to the sun, your body temperature will remain stable throughout the day. And you have a hard time entering a phase of sleep. Many people who complain of sleep problems are not exposed to enough sunlight. Most often, they work in dark all day. The body is then no longer distinguish between day and night. So sleep is more restful
The light is measured in lux units. 1 lux is the light that you receive when you are in a dark room with a single candle.
In an office lit by artificial light, the light intensity is about 300 lux. At sunrise, the light intensity is about 10,000 lux. At noon, the intensity can reach 100,000 lux.
These figures do not mean that you must get a measuring device to calculate the intensity that you receive daily. These figures are there to convince you of the need to expose you to more natural light, more sun during the day.
We spend most of our day in dark, garage, car and office. We are exposed to different artificial light sources very low light of a computer screen, a lamp, the TV screen. Result: the body can no longer tell the difference between day and night. And our sleep suffers the consequences, he became disturbed and tormented.
You are therefore very important to expose you to more sun. Feel free to get out often in the garden if you work at home. If you work in an office, move next to the window to get more sun. Also get used to open the sheets as soon as you wake up.
The sunglasses block much of the sunlight and can have its uses in a very sunny day. But also try to reduce use during the morning hours and the previous sunset. Doing so with more sun and your sleep will gain in depth and quality, you get so much more easily.
The practicality prevents you from moving your office? But you still feel tired during your work. The solution is simple: get a machine with high light intensity (halogen). These machines emulate the intensity of sunlight by emitting light of a power which can vary from 5,000 to 10,000 lux. Which is equivalent to natural light from sunrise. These machines can be expensive, but worth it.
A bath or shower will lower the temperature of your body and can help you sleep. Follow these rules to take your shower: Take a shower an hour or two hours before going to sleep. It is important to pass up an hour before going to bed.
